A choir of metalheads, emos, goths, grebs and moshers come together to learn how to become metal singers. They take up a stage, come together and scream for an hour. The songs will be co-created with the choir to reflect the needs,issues,wants,dreams,desires,nightmares and demands of the choir. Think The Body, Sun 0))), Liturgy mixed in with Jenny Hval, Diamanda Galás & Lignua Ignota.  

The choir is composed of predominantly trans and non binary bodies in an attempt to subvert the overtly toxic masculinity that is associated with metal music culture. The piece gives space for transformations and explores what happens when you learn what your voice can become.

References for this practice come from the magical dream ecologies of Phillipe Quesene, the normcore zombies of Anne Ihmof and going to the My Chemical Romance reunion tour over the summer of 2022
